Gallery of Works --Collaborations
Collaboration in creative work is a conversation – a continuing dialogue of ideas, skills and capitulation.
Collaborating with artist and print maker, Judy Whitlock (my mother), three bodies of worked emerged, Landscape Argentum, Botanica Minutiae and Terra Nova.
Our "conversations" as printmaker and jeweller provided us with a unique opportunity to engage and create.
Within this relationship it was incumbent upon us both to remain aware of the other's direction, whether it was to create a "plate" that was printed in limited edition and then evolved into a wearable work of art, or a work of art that was extant and then etched. And by extension the collaboration allowed the intimacy of the minute to combine with the intimate placement of the wearable.
